The New City Hall is located at 200 East Santa Clara Street between Fourth and Sixth Streets in downtown San José, California. Designed by renowned architects Richard Meier & Partners, the new San José City Hall was thoughtfully planned to make it as simple as possible to access city services.

The building layout includes an 18-story tower on the east side of the site; a three story wing on the west side of the site; a centrally located domed rotunda that will reach a height equivalent of 10 stories; a large plaza opening onto Santa Clara Street framed by a curved wall; and one level of 300 underground parking spaces. The New City Hall includes 530,000 square feet of office and public space, and was built with sustainable design principles.

Central Concrete California provided the required 26,000 cubic yards of concrete. Upon completion, our concrete truck drivers made over 3,000 trips from the batch plant to the project site. Construction began in August, 2002, was completed in Spring 2005 and the City Hall opened to the public on October 15, 2005.
